The Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Global Forum 2027 (“AIMed Global Forum 2027”), organized by the Polish Institute for Evidence Based Medicine (“PIEBM”), brings together people from many countries, professions and backgrounds. We want every one of them to feel respected and able to take part fully. This Code of Conduct explains the behaviour we expect, and what to do if something goes wrong. Taking part in the event means agreeing to it.

Who and where it applies

This Code applies to everyone taking part in any capacity — attendees, speakers, organizers, reviewers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors and guests. It covers the whole event: sessions, workshops, the exhibit hall, social and networking activities, and the online platform and official channels, whether on-site or virtual.

How we expect people to behave

We ask everyone to treat others with respect and professionalism, to listen and disagree constructively, and to be considerate of colleagues from different disciplines, cultures and career stages. AIMed is a space for open scientific exchange, and that only works when people feel safe.

What is not acceptable

Harassment, discrimination, bullying and intimidation are not tolerated, in person or online. This includes, among other things:

• offensive or demeaning remarks — spoken, written or shown — about someone’s gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, age or nationality;
• unwelcome sexual attention or advances, and sexualised images or materials, including on sponsor and exhibitor stands;
• intimidation, stalking, or unwanted following, whether physical or online;
• repeatedly disrupting talks, sessions or other participants;
• unwanted physical contact, or photographing or recording someone without their agreement.

If someone asks you to stop a behaviour that troubles them, please stop straight away.

If something happens

If you experience or notice any of this, or you simply feel uncomfortable, please tell us. You can speak to a member of the organizing team on-site, or write in confidence to registration@piebm.org. We will listen, treat what you share sensitively, and decide together what you would like to happen next.

What we may do

The organizers may take whatever step is appropriate to the situation — from a quiet word, to a formal warning, to removing someone from the event without a refund. In serious cases, and after the matter has been looked into, we may decline future registrations and notify the person’s employer or the relevant authorities.
